TK/K Enrollment 2022/23

TK and Kindergarten enrollment for the 2022/23 school year is open.

Enrollment FOR TK AND KINDERGARTEN BEGINS FEBRUARY 7, 2022.

Upon submitting the online enrollment form, you will receive an email from your school of residence within 48 hours. This email will contain information regarding the documents you will be required to provide in order for us to successfully process your child's enrollment.

KINDERGARTEN
Kindergarten is available for students who turn 5 years old on or before September 1st.

TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN

State legislation requires SMUSD to provide Transitional Kindergarten only to students who turn 5 years old between September 2 to February 2. Transitional Kindergarten is a one year program designed to give students time to acquire the necessary skills for kindergarten. The curriculum will address the Common Core State Standards. Following a year in Transitional Kindergarten, your child MUST enroll in a regular Kindergarten. Families should register at their home school. You can obtain information from your school's office and website.
