Let’s help set a Guinness World Record! Details below:

Kids for Peace, the organization behind our Great Kindness Challenge (which is based here in Carlsbad!) is hoping to set a Guinness World Record for the world’s longest recycled paper chain made with messages of love and hope.

TK/K/1st grade will complete chain links in class. For all LEVS classes and grades 2-5, students have been given 2 strips of blue construction paper. Sometime during Kindness week, students should write a message of love, hope or kindness on each strip, and decorate if desired. If students would like to create more strips on their own, that would be great! Extra strips can be made from recycled/reused materials around the house (like a cereal box or brown paper bag), must be 1.5” wide and 11-18” long.

Please return completed strips to school anytime from Jan. 26-Feb. 5, to the collection box outside of the front office. OR students can mail their strips directly to Kids for Peace: 1302 Pine Ave, Carlsbad, CA 92008 (if mailing, links due to KFP by Feb. 28)

Optional Art Activities! Follow this link for ideas and directions! Submit photos of your creations for the yearbook! [email protected]
