Hello! My name is Mrs. Day and I am so honored and excited to be one of your child's first grade teachers this year!

I grew up in La Costa and Encinitas and actually attended LCM when I was in Kindergarten. I stayed local and received my bachelor's degree and teaching credential from CSUSM. I student taught with SMUSD and never left. :)  I feel so lucky to work for such a great district and such a positive, hard working, and wonderful school! 

This will be my 3rd year at LCM but my 11th year teaching. I continue to learn and grow with each new group of students. I love getting to build a school family and can't wait to get to know all of my incoming students. 

I have been married for 5 years and we have two beautiful girls, McKenzie (5 1/2) and Maddie (3). They are my whole world and my reason for sharing my classroom. I feel extremely fortunate to be able to have a career that I love while also getting that priceless time with my family. 

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and working as a team to make this the best year yet!
