Community Outreach

La Costa Meadows Elementary School is a vibrant, kind and generous community. We are proud of our student body and their families for answering the call to serve others, which happens at various times throughout the school year.

Here's some examples of what community outreach looked like during the 2018-19 school year:

Wigs for Kids

This year our school hosted the 7th Annual Wigs for Kids hair donation event, coordinated by 4th grade teacher Mrs. Mone. This is a well-supported and touching event, with many students donating their hair (and adults in our community donating their time and talent to cut and style hair!)
Over the years, the LCM community has donated 400 pony tails and 4000 inches of hair to Wigs for Kids. We are so proud of you all!

Paradise Elementary School

In November 2018, the community of Paradise, California, along with its elementary school, was completely devastated. Despite being XX miles from La Costa, our students wanted to help. Student Council organized a Dollar Drive with the goal of raising $2,000. The response of our LCM Dolphins was strong, and the Student Council collected $4,102.97!
