Student Council

School

Each semester all students in grades three, four, and five are invited to participate in the election process and representatives are chosen from each classroom. Representatives serve students in their own classes and are also responsible for representing students in primary grade buddy classes. Children in grades four and five are invited to run for office. After campaigning and writing and delivering speeches, the student body elects a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Historian. Officers and representatives meet regularly throughout the year to organize School Spirit Days, help at Flag Salutes, work in community outreach programs, organize charitable events and work on school program advertising campaigns. Students become educated in student government while learning responsibility and team work. We are proud of our students who volunteer their personal time to become involved in the administration of La Costa Meadows School.
