Hi, my name is Elaine Ramos and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year!

I realized I had a passion for teaching when I was in high school. I had amazing teachers that made learning fun, interactive and memorable. They taught me that I learn more when I take an active role in my learning. They also instilled a love of learning in me that made me always want to know more. I think that being a life-long learner is such an important characteristic to have as a teacher. I have an AA in Elementary Education from College of Southern Nevada and a BA in Liberal Studies with a minor in History from California State University San Marcos where I also received my credential.  I just recently (last week) finished my coursework for my master’s degree in early childhood education. This is my 4th year teaching at La Costa Meadows and I am so thankful to be a part of an amazing team of teachers!

When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my 9-year-old daughter (Yikes, she will be 10 shortly!). She is in 4th grade at LCM and also loves to learn! We like to go to the movies, dance, and act goofy! During the summer we love to travel and be in the water.
