Room D410

Hi, my name is Elaine Ramos and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year!

I realized I had a passion for teaching when I was in high school. I had amazing teachers that made learning fun, interactive and memorable. They taught me that I learn more when I take an active role in my learning. They also instilled a love of learning in me that made me always want to know more. I think that being a life-long learner is such an important characteristic to have as a teacher. I have an AA in Elementary Education from College of Southern Nevada, a BA in Liberal Studies with a minor in History from California State University San Marcos where I also received my credential and a master’s degree in early childhood education from Grand Canyon University. This is my 9th year teaching in SMUSD and my second year at Richland. I am so excited to be a Mustang and work with an amazing community and team of teachers!

When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my husband and 14-year-old daughter (Yikes, she starts high school this year). She is an 9th grader this year and also loves to learn! We like to go to the movies, dance, have family game nights and act goofy! During the summer we love to travel and be in the water.
