Meet Mrs. Karl

                                  Karl family

My name is Karen Karl and this year will mark my 30th year as a teacher. This will be my 23rd year teaching at La Costa Meadows and during this time, I have taught first and second grades.  Prior to moving back to San Diego, I had a wonderful opportunity to work in business, but after three years away from education, I knew my heart was in teaching. I was very fortunate to be able to join the LCM community.

My family and I live in Point Loma. My husband Chris and I have a daughter, Hannah, who is starting her first year at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

When I'm not working, I love to travel, spend time with family and friends, read books, do crafts, and enjoy the theater. Although my family enjoys relaxing vacations, we also love to see and learn about new places.
