Welcome to Mrs. Martin's Second Grade Webpage!

Hello, my name is Michelle Martin.  I started teaching in 1998 for the Napa Valley Unified School District.  I taught Kindergarten for four years and fifth grade for one year. When our daughter was born in 2003, we decided to relocate back to North County to be near our families.  I have been working at La Costa Meadows since 2010. I have worn many hats here. I was the long term sub for the 3-5 SDC, Reading Intervention Specialist, and I worked with Mrs. Pacino teaching kindergarten and transitional kindergarten, and taught fifth grade for the past six years. I'm looking forward to teaching second grade this year.

I have been married to my husband, Andrew, for 25 years and we have a beautiful daughter, Brynja.  She is a Senior this year and keeps us very busy with her favorite sport, volleyball. When I am not watching her play volleyball, I enjoy playing tennis, stand up paddling, biking, cooking, and reading.

I am looking forward to meeting the students and working together to make this a great year for your child!  I love what I do for a living. Your children bring a smile to my face, and everyday is guaranteed to be filled with laughter.
