About Me
Hello!  I am Mrs. Kawzenuk (Mrs. K to the students).  I am a part of the special education team at La Costa Meadows.  I work with the fourth and fifth grade students with individualized education programs.  This will be my fourth year at this wonderful school!

I grew up in Upstate New York, and moved to California in 2015.  I received my bachelor's degree in English with a Childhood Inclusive Education Certification from SUNY Brockport, and then continued my education at Plymouth State University in New Hampshire where I received my master of education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).  I took a year and a half off, and am currently back to being a student finishing up my second masters degree in administration.

When I am not teaching, I also coach volleyball for Wave Volleyball Club.  I have also coached high school volleyball for Canyon Crest Academy and most recently San Marcos High School.

In my free time I love to go to the beach with my husband Brian, go for walks/hikes with our pit bull Marley, and soon we will be able to enjoy time with our first child Mason!

I look forward to a great year with the fourth and fifth grade students!
