Meet Your Teachers

Meet the CornWells

This will be our 5th year job sharing! We both feel very fortunate to work part-time and spend quality time raising our babies. Mrs. Cornell and Mrs. Wells have known each other since college! We were in the teaching program together at Cal Poly SLO. In fact, Mrs. Cornell even introduced Mrs. Wells to her now husband! To say that we are close friends would be an understatement. We are practically family and truly love working together.

Mrs. Cornell works Mondays/Tuesdays and Mrs. Wells works Thursdays/Fridays. Then, we alternate Wednesdays.

Meet Mrs. Cornell:  The 2018-2019 school year will be my 15th year of teaching.  I taught first grade for four years, and then joined the LCM family in third grade ten years ago.  When I am not at school, I enjoy reading, staying active, going to the beach, camping, and playing with our two dogs, Charlie and Miley.  Of course, I have the MOST fun spending time with our two children!  "Big brother" Callam turned four in April, and his sidekick sis Emerson turned one in March.
I grew up in the small town of Atascadero, located in California's Central Coast region.  From an early age, I knew that I wanted to be a teacher.  Both of my parents were educators, and I easily decided to follow in their footsteps.  I graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo...where I learned great teaching strategies alongside Mrs. Wells!! I currently live in Encinitas, and I am very happy to call northern San Diego home.  San Marcos is a superb school district, and LCM is the BEST place to work and grow together as life-long learners!

Meet Mrs. Wells: Hello! Welcome to our webpage!

This is going to be my 14th year teaching!!! Wow!! I can’t believe it! Time sure does go by fast when you love your job. I absolutely love teaching and feel blessed to have such an amazing job and third grade team!

I grew up in Valencia, CA and went to college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with Mrs. Cornell! Go Mustangs! I’ve lived in San Marcos 7 years now and love it! When I’m not teaching, I’m playing with my bulldog, being a mommy, having playdates with the LCM teachers, shopping and watching movies. Our son Gavin will turn four in October, and his sweet sister Solana turned one this past June. I feel very blessed to work along side Mrs. Cornell and spend quality time with my family.
