My name is Karen Karl and this year will mark my 34th year as a teacher. This will be my 27th year teaching at La Costa Meadows. Prior to moving back to San Diego, I had a wonderful opportunity to work in business, but after three years away from education, I knew my heart was in teaching. I was very fortunate to be able to join the LCM community.
My family and I live in Point Loma. My husband Chris and I have a daughter, Hannah, who recently graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
When I'm not working, I love to travel, spend time with family and friends, read books, and do crafts. Although my family enjoys relaxing vacations, we also love to see and learn about new places.
