Welcome Back to School Letter

Dear 4th Grade Families,

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I am thrilled to be your child’s fourth grade teacher this year.

I am looking forward to a better-than-ever school year filled with fun and learning. The fourth grade curriculum is challenging and exciting. Your fourth grader may look forward to many literature projects, challenging math activities, with an emphasis on using problem solving strategies, hands on science, and learning about California history. Our field trips reinforce and enrich our curriculum.

My goal is for this to be a very special school year for your child. I feel the best way to achieve this is through a partnership with each of you. Please contact me anytime if you have questions or concerns about your child’s education or classroom events. Email is the best way to communicate with me: c[email protected]. The LCM office number is 760-290-2121 (classroom extension 3029).

I am asking that each family considers purchasing materials that your child will use at school. Please see the list on my classroom web page for items needed. If you wish to donate additional items to our class, I purchase many materials from Amazon, Target, and teacherspayteachers.com. e-Gift Cards are always appreciated!

I will answer questions about our daily classroom schedule, curriculum, and the "nuts and bolts" of fourth grade at  Back to School Night

Schedule: Thursday, August 17th, Room B~29
5:00-5:45 PM

I look forward to a wonderful school year!

Sincerely,
Cheri Bailey, 4th Grade
