Welcome to Third Grade

Dear Families,
Welcome to third grade! I am looking forward to a busy, memorable, and exciting year of school and academic growth and achievement. I would like to share some basic information to help start the school year. More detailed information will be included in my Back to School Night presentation.
Since the morning is long, it is strongly recommended that your child bring a HEALTHY SNACK to eat during morning recess (no candy or soda allowed). Our recess time is TBD . Lunch will be from TBD. Third grade students will play first, then eat their lunch. Also, please send in a labeled water bottle to be used throughout the day. The water fountains are not available at this time, but we do have a water filling station to refill water bottles.
Due to changes in the classroom environment, our classroom supplies will be for individual use to help limit the spread of germs. There are a variety of items that are needed to help accomplish this goal for the class. Personally I purchased many of the supplies for the beginning of the school year, so that the students are prepared for the first day of school. I have individual bins with supplies for each child. If you would like to make a donation, please consider donating a gift card to Amazon or Target. Each child is encouraged to bring in their own set of headphones to be used with the classroom Chromebooks throughout the year. This item needs to be labeled with your child's name and will be stored at school. I do have a small quantity of school headphones students may borrow if needed.

Supplies/Donations
This year, Back to School Night, will be in person. Third grade parents meet on Thursday, August 17th from 6:15-7:00 PM. Please remember that this is a meeting for teachers and parents only. We are located in room C-39 in the C building, located on the 2nd floor across from the music room.
