Each year LCM has a fundraiser using our children's artwork. We use the Silver Graphics company to turn our art projects into coffee mugs, ceramic tiles, tote bags, stationery, magnets and more. The projects are completed in November and the final products are delivered in time for Christmas gifts. The Silver Graphics website has many great examples for lessons to try out or just for inspiration.
Order forms for our annual art fundraiser will be sent home (date TBD). Please complete the order form with all the requested information, make a check payable to LCM PTO, and submit your order to your child's teacher or to the office. The last day to submit orders TBA. Remember, the print enclosed in the order envelope is a free gift to you to preview how great your child's project looks. It is yours to keep, regardless of whether you place an order. Proceeds from this fundraiser are used to purchase art supplies and for other PTO sponsored programs. Thanks for supporting us!
- Use bright colors and fill the page.
- No white backgrounds! Please paint or color them in or use colored paper.
- Avoid seasonal themes.
- Horizontal orientation is best. (The images can be bigger on the gift items.)
- Use a suggested project (scroll down for the list) and ensure the size and materials you choose fit within these guidelines.
- Have the children write their names and the year on the front of the artwork, at least 1/2" in from any edge
- Use any sturdy art paper that is no larger than 12" x 16". Please trim 12" X 18" paper to 12" X 16" size before you use it! 8" x 10", 8 1/2" x 11", 9" x 12", 10" x 13" are good sizes. For best results, avoid square art.
- Paper collages may be used, providing that all edges are securely glued down and lay flat.
- Allow time in your schedule for absent students to make-up the project.
- Do not use glitter, anything metallic (paint, paper, stickers, pens, etc.), 3-D objects (such as wiggly eyes, pom-poms, pipe cleaners, cotton balls, etc.), fluorescent colors, or abrasive materials (such as sandpaper, sand, hardened glue, etc.)
- On the reverse side of the artwork, please indicate the TOP of the artwork lightly in pencil. Also on the back, write the student's full name, teacher's name, grade level, and LCM.
- Please turn in artwork to the office on or before the due date.
- Non-LCM siblings may also submit artwork to participate. Have extra art that you love? Submit that too!
